Breaking News: Ron Howard Hired!

Wow, the news just continues to break!  In a follow up to yesterday's big story, of Lord and Miller being fired from the Han Solo solo movie, today we learn that Ron Howard has been hired by Lucasfilm to finish the job!

Breaking News: Lord & Miller Fired!

As you probably know by now, it was announced yesterday that Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the directors of the Han Solo solo movie, were let go by Kathleen Kennedy and Lucasfilm.  Well, as a Star Wars Podcaster, I am obligated to give you my opinion on this matter.  Here are a few minutes of what I, someone who knows very little about the movie making industry and the inner workings of Lucasfilm, thinks about all of this.  ;-)

Gut Reaction: The Freemaker Adventures, Episodes 1 & 2 of Season Two

 Well, my guilty pleasure, Lego Star Wars The Freemaker Adventures, just began its second season. So, I am going to try my best to review each episode as they air. Episodes one and two where released on the same day, so here you go, my first two reviews in one! Actually, review maybe too strong a word, this is Less Than 12 Parsecs after all, so I give you my GUT REACTION!

The First Star Wars Retconn?

After forty awesome years, I can still find new things in the old classics that are the Original Trilogy. This is amazing!

Anyway, after reading an online discussion about retconns, it dawned on me that the very first Star Wars retconn was right in front of our eyes, and we didn't even see it!  What am I going on about?  Have a listen and find out!

How Big Can It Get?

A thought popped into my head today... How big can Star Wars get?  Well, instead of thinking about this, I turned on my recorder and just started babbling.  What came out of my mouth isn't very well thought out (heck, it's not thought out at all!), but it's something I think I'll share anyway!

There is a rumor going around this week that Sam Esmail, the creator and write of Mr. Robot is in talks with Lucasfilm to write and or direct an up coming Star Wars stand alone film. Gut Reaction: Lego Star Wars The Freemaker Adventures Season Two

The trailer for Season Two of the Lego Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures was released today.  To say I'm excited is an understatement!  Here is my "Gut Reaction" to the trailer.  (In my excitement, I forgot to say "Gut Reaction" in the show, but trust me, this is a LT12P "Gut Reaction" episode, for those of you keeping track at home!)

Don't worry, Less Than 12 Parsecs will continue on without me. Starting today, my son Declan will be taking over the show.   I'm not really sure what he's going to do with it, but I trust it will be interesting.

Paging Doctor Freud

There is no new episode of Less Than 12 Parsecs tonight, because I spent the evening celebrating the 1000th episode of Star Wars 7x7​ with my buddy Allen Voivod, along with his friends and family.  Allen kindly let me sit in on his live stream from the party. Honestly, I thought I would just be popping in to chat with him for a few minutes, but I ended up stay for it's entirety.  I hope I didn't over stay my welcome!  Anyway, thank you to Allen, his awesome wife Lani, and everyone else who was there, online and in person, for such a great evening.  Heres to the next 1000 episodes!
