Action Figure Number 10, 11 & 12

Well, it's that time of the month where I add a new classic Kenner action figure to my collection. This months figure is actually THREE figures! Why three? Because I had so much fun getting three last month, that I decided to do it again! So, what did I get? Well, listen to the episode to find out!

A big thank you to Vic Cuzzupe who sold me the figure this month.  And a big apology to Vic as well.  As you will hear, I completely forgot his name as I was recording the episode.  Vic, I am very sorry!

And as always, when I open a new classic Kenner action figure, there is a video version of the episode as well!

2017 Star Wars Podcast Awards - http://www.starwarspodcastawards.com/

The Star Wars Podcast Awards

The nominations for the 2017 Star Wars Podcast Awards were announced this morning, and I am proud to tell you that Less Than 12 Parsecs has been nominated in the category of Best New Show!  It truly is an honor just to be nominated!

I know that a lot of podcasts out there will post the heck out of this all over their social media accounts, mention it on all their episodes and will be asking for your vote.  I just want to tell you up front that this is not my style.  I really am happy just to have been nominated!

That said, I will be posting across all my accounts about this today, and then probably a second time just before the voting period comes to an end on April 1st.  If you do decide to vote for our little show, I will greatly appreciate it.  If you don't, that's all good too!  I'm happy just to have you as a listener!

International Women's Day

In honor of the fact that today is International Women's Day, I take a look at what makes the women of Star Wars so great.  I am thankful that I grew up with these characters in my imagination, and that they continue to inspire generations of fans!

10 Questions with Rob Williams from the Generation X-Wing podcast

You know the routine...All guests of the show MUST sit through my 10 Stoopid Questions.  Rob Williams from the Generation X-Wing and Outer Rim Rookie podcasts is back today to sit in the hot seat.  After he made ME answer 10 Stoopid Questions over on the Outer Rim Rookie, I feel like I should have made these harder and stoopider!

The Outer Rim Rookie Podcast

I was recently invited onto the Out Rim Rookie podcast, hosted by yesterday's guest, Rob Williams, to talk about my early days in the 501st. I hope others interested in The Legion, or who have recently signed up, can learn from my experiences!

Then, before it was over, Rob made me sit through 10 Stoopid Questions.  Hey, it's MY job to ask the Stoopid Questions!

Podcasters Spotlight: Rob Williams from the Genation X-Wing podcast

Today, I had the pleasure of talking with Rob Williams, from the Generation X-Wing podcast, and the Outer Rim Rookie podcast.  In fact, Rob invited me on the Outer Rim Rookie podcast to chat about the fun and adventure of joining the 501st Legion.  After we did that, I put him in the spotlight for this episode of Less Than 12 Parsecs!  I hope you enjoy our conversation!

Figures Wanted!

Hey there! I am over due for my monthly Kenner Action Figure. As long time listeners will know, I am not a toy collector, but I am slowly collecting all the original vintage Kenner action figures. I try to get one a month. Anyway, I need one for this month.

So, if you have a loose, clean, near mint figure with its accessories I'd like to buy it for a fair price. But here's the thing... I don't want you to tell me what the figure is before you sell it to me! Just send it to me, so I can unwrap it live on the show like it's Christmas Morning 1979! As long as it's a figure I do not already have it's cool!

Here are the figures I already have...
 2-1B Medical Droid
C-3PO
AT-AT Driver
Hammerhead
Imperial Royal Guard
Logray
Luke Skywalker in Hoth Gear
Lobot
Walrus Man

So, if you have a figure you'd be willing to sell me, please let me know in the comments below. Thank you!

Potpourri

Our week of listener submitted topics comes to an end today. There were so many great topics that people suggested, that I did not have time for all of them. So today, I'm going to try and fit three of them into one show. Let's see if I can do all of this in less than five minutes!

Thanks again to everyone who played along. This was a lot of fun for me. I hope to do this again, maybe two or three weeks each year.

My Very Own Fan Theory

My week of listener submitted topics continues!  Today, Hector Rios Jr asks via Facebook... "How was Anakin Skywalker able to become a force ghost?"  That's a good question!  What's my fan theory that answers this question?  Have a listen and find out!

The Proper Star Wars Viewing Order

Our week of listener submitted topics continues today.   Steve_of_clan_kirk, that's his Instagram name asks... "What is the best order to watch the Star Wars films in?".  Well, it's my opinion that you should watch... no, wait, you'll have to listen to hear my thoughts on this one!

Top Five: My Favorite ODD Ben Burt Sound Effects

All this week, all topics of all shows have been submitted by listeners!  Today's topic was suggested by the gang over at the Blast Points Podcast.  Be sure to check them out at www.blastpointspodcast.com.

They asked what were my top five favorite odd Ben Burt Sound Effects.  I'm not sure if I answered their question correctly, but here is six minutes on the topic.  Enjoy!

And The Oscar Goes To...

Before you sit down to watch tonight's Academy Awards, to cheer on Rouge One, why don't you take five minutes to sit back and listen to this brief history of Star Wars at the Oscars. Which films were nominated in what categories, and who won what, may surprise you!

And dont forget, you can win the Kanan-styled sleep mask. Simply post a sleep-themed Star Wars photo on Twitter, use the hashtag #SleepyStarWars and tag both @TwelveParPod and @SWSkyhoppers. What is a sleep-themed photo? Let us see your favorite Star Wars pajamas, or your bed with the Star Wars sheets, blankets and pillows, or maybe it's a photo of you snuggled up with your favorite Star Wars plush toy and bed time story book. Or anything else you can come up with! We will pull a name from random on February 28th! Thanks for playing, and good luck!

Gut Reaction: The Han Solo Cast Photo

Sometimes I will see something in the world of Star Wars, something that deserves a review or an opinion. But, because this is Less Than 12 Parsecs, I don't have time to give you an in-depth think piece. So instead,  all I have time to share is my gut reaction.

Today's episode is my gut reaction to the untitled Han Solo film cast photo that was released yesterday. Actually, it's not my gut reaction about the photo, but my opinion about some of the news that was shared in the Star Wars.com story that went along with the photo.

Don't have a clue what I'm talking about? And please take four minutes to listen to the show to figure it all out!
